| The Koh Petra Marine National Park consists of an area roughly 33 miles in diameter of protected waters where commercial fishing is prohibited. Laoliang Island is within this National Park. It boats some of the best sites to sport fish in Thailand. Angle for the elusive black marlin. Plenty of yellow fin tuna, dog tooth tuna, wahoo, king fish, giant trevally and barracuda are caught here. Trolling with various lure setups 6.5 miles off Koh Rok will find you sinking into one of the large predators. Reef fish Lao Liang with bait and reflective jigs to land silver snapper, red snapper, trevally, rock cod, blue and red groupers and a countless variety of reef fish. |
